20 years of experience. 3 disciplines. One dedicated team — bringing the best care to Reservoir.
Lucia Health Clinic was born from a story of love, generosity, and a shared calling to help others. When Josh and Bernadette were both deep in their studies — osteopathy for Josh, acupuncture for Bernadette — it was a very special person in their lives who opened her home and her heart to them both.
Her warmth, her kitchen table, and her unwavering support gave them everything they needed to study, grow, and dream about the future. It was around that table that the idea for this clinic first took shape.
When the time came to choose a name, the answer was clear. Lucia — meaning light in Latin — felt like the perfect tribute to the woman who had been exactly that for them: a guiding light.
Lucia means light. We strive to be a guiding presence for our local community, a place people turn to when they need care and clarity.
Our name is a tribute to the person whose generosity made our journey possible. Her spirit of warmth lives in how we treat every patient.
By combining three distinct disciplines, we address musculoskeletal health from every angle, always working together to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Three complementary disciplines working together. Every treatment tailored to your body, your history, and your goals.
Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement and function after injury, illness, or long-term conditions. Josh takes a hands-on, evidence-based approach to help you move better and live without pain.
Osteopathy treats the body as a whole — addressing the underlying structural causes of pain and dysfunction. Using manual therapy, Josh helps restore balance to the musculoskeletal system.
Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points along the body's meridian pathways — restoring the flow of Qi, reducing inflammation, and activating the body's natural capacity to heal.
Get in touch and we can help you choose the right treatment — or a combination of treatments — for your needs.
With 14 years of experience, Josh is a dual-qualified physiotherapist and osteopath driven by a genuine love of helping people. He understands firsthand how injury can impact both body and mind — and believes every patient deserves to be treated with the same care and respect he would want for himself.
Josh has a particular interest in shoulder pain and low back pain. He views the body as a unified system, drawing on physiotherapy's strength in exercise prescription and osteopathy's holistic manual therapy approach to guide patients from acute pain all the way through to full recovery.
He works closely alongside Bernadette, and where appropriate, collaborates across disciplines to ensure every patient receives the most effective care for their individual needs.
With over 16 years of experience, Bernadette — or Bernie, as her patients often call her — began her career as a remedial massage therapist before pursuing acupuncture to further her clinical expertise. Graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture in 2024, she now combines her clinical background with the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, supporting health from both an external and internal perspective.
Bernie has a particular interest in women's health and pain management. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, her practice brings ancient wisdom together with the modern demands placed on our bodies — creating a space where patients can genuinely rest, reset, and heal.
She works collaboratively with Josh, and where a case calls for a different approach, refers with confidence — always keeping the patient's needs at the centre of their care.
